The following Monday, I called Tac and asked him, "Can you fix it?" - I thought the thing might have been a total wreck. He said, "Sure, we can fix anything." First thing we had to to was find a similar truck - one that was in good enough shape to be worth working with, but in bad enough shape to be worth cannabalizing for major parts. It took us two months to find a worthy candidate. Meanwhile, I'd go to the shop on weekends and visit the truck... take pictures, use them for screen savers....
