Paul Schatzkin (1950 -     )
...was born in New York City during a hurricane in November, 1950. He lived his childhood near the seashore in Rumson, New Jersey, and spent his adolescence back in the shadow of New York. A graduate of Antioch College, in 1973, he has worked as a pizza delivery man, video guerilla, photographer, charter-yacht skipper, and securities peddler, among other things, and has been engaged in various kinds of psychotherapy since the third grade. He counts among his influcences Hunter S. Thompson, Abbie Hoffman, Hugh Romney (aka Wavy Gravy) and M. Cannibis Sativa. He lives inside his head, while the rest of his body was living somewhere "on the edge" in Los Angeles, California when these poems were written.

Yesteray, I couldn't even spell "poet,"
Today, I are one. Thanks, Jack.
